The CNN crowd always solicits comments from their viewers, but I suppose they refuse to post comments from more informed sources--they want only stupid Americans, (i.e. pro-Bush morons who voted that war criminal to office twice!) to comment. Certainly they do not want my comments! They always delete them, and then they spam my email! (They demand you submit and email account in order to post!)

"Bush whined on and on in that most odious manner that was uniquely his own, that the impecunious and drought-ridden North Korean leadership "starved" their people, when today I listen to a non-plussed Wolf Blitzer discussing with Ag Sec'y Vilsack that the choices here, in the richest country in the world, are between being obese, with parents going without, and purchasing cheap food, because they can't afford nutricious food for their kids, making their children obese, or just going hungry! Quel outrage! Yet another instance of Bush's failed economic policies which make President Obama the quietest man in Beijing, for he can't speak out on human rights abuses or internet censorship in China, because Bush saddled this nation with $800 billion in IOU's to China, and Hillary and everyone are begging the PRC to purchase more American debt, in the hope that China might revalue their currency! I am an outraged American who is tired of hearing disturbing news only after the guilty party has went into hiding in Crawford. You can lay EVERYTHING WRONG WITH AMERICA at the doorstep of one George Walker Bush–Torture, Rendition, waging illegal wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and destroying the American economy! On any given day, CNN has so often reported, that 150,000 veterans are homeless.

8 YEARS of handouts to KBR, Halliburton, Enron, Bush's cronies, and the first big give-away bailout to AIG and others, just before Bush left office, combined with two illegal and very expensive and lost wars, all add up, after 8 year of Clinton surplusses and speak to me in BOLD TYPE that Bush was the WORST PRESIDENT IN AMERICAN HISTORY, and he remains an as-yet unindicted war criminal.

Once again, "A failure to connect the dots!" Hmpf! Why, I am SHOCKED! SHOCKED, I tell you!

So how did this BOZO, Hasan, manage to be in communication with al-Qaeda operatives in Yemen, access fundamentalist web-sites, purchase handguns, manage to get promoted to the rank of a United States Army Major, and, despite FBI attention, fall off the radar, after CNN reports that he had "Power Point" presentations with radical viewpoints being expressed in his discussions about "environmental health"? Is this yet another instance of an intelligence failure which cost innocent people their lives while based at home? And how many excuses will people in the Army and the Justice Department make, to cover their ass, over this guy, who should be summarily shot, for so many witnesses have already seen him commit murder.

The media--namely FOX, CNN, and CBS have come up with all these disturbing reasons about "Post Traumatic Stress Disorder" which seems to be a blanket excuse for THIS GUY, who has NEVER been deployed in any combat or "war" zone--he was born here in America, and even those who they have shown on television have stated, he spoke very bad Arabic, and was more able to communicate with his muslim associates in English? This guy was a "sleeper" and hiding in plain sight--his financial worries (he had just filed for bankruptcy) somehow got all twisted up and confused into being a jihadist, killing American troops on their home base, for "Allah" and this whole situation is just sickening, for it could have been so easily prevented had the Army just given him a general discharge and allowed the FBI to track his EVERY move thereafter! But because, it has been stated, he had an "obligation" to the military for his education, he was not allowed to just quit the Army!

It makes absolutely no sense to have people like Hasan in the United States Military! People should be vetted more carefully, and screened for psychological disorders which could potentially make them go postal, as this guy had! He gives the uniform a very bad name, he is a disgrace to the officer's uniform and to military service in general--he obviously had no business being in the service, and a stupid "political correctness" allowed him to continue to serve, be promoted, attain a major's rank--and how can an officer's financial troubles not ring bells or raise flags in the Pentagon, for it makes him a very vulnerable and easy mark for people who would compromise him or exploit him, and as such, he was a security risk which went unnoticed!

I listened to all the speeches, and it further sickened me to hear all about how much will be done for soldiers, and once again, it is too late! This incident at Fort Hood, Texas, never should have occurred. I am so tired of hearing all the time about violence being committed here in America, by people like this guy, Hasan, or that other ex-military scum-bag, John Mohammed, who most cavalierly went in an out of the country, bringing into Miami many people who he claimed to be his wives--his ability to transit from Aruba and the United States with such ease, and with no papers for his young understudy, in a post 9/11 America has yet to be explained or examined. Most disturbing is HOW MANY MORE OF THESE KIND OF INDIVIDUALS are lurking around, on the government's radar, but not sufficiently monitored? The mass-murderer in Cleveland, Ohio, where so many women's decomposing bodies have recently been discovered, was a sex-offender, and should have been WATCHED by the authorities, just like with the guy in California, who kidnapped and raped a young girl, kept her his hostage for decades, forced her to father his children, and paraded them around in the FACE of people who should have known something was up! This government, be it local, state, or federal has dropped the ball time and time again, allowing wackos of all types to prey upon the law-abiding and peaceful people in this country, and with all the shootings which show up on American news programs of late, when is it going to be time for handguns to be banned? For it always seems to me that the people who have handguns and commit crimes should NEVER have been allowed to purchase such a weapon, and they should be illegal for anyone to own! There is hardly anything worse than a system which doesn't work, when illegal immigrants are able to come willy-nilly, despite laws which say it's "illegal", when the borders are not secured, when the DEA cannot effectively, despite their multi-billion dollar budget, get drugs off the streets in any city, and while the State Department and the Pentagon continue to support a narco-dictatorship in the person of Afghanistan's Hamid Karzai, who is NOT our friend, and his brother, according to Perez Musharaf, is a long-known drug lord on the CIA payroll since forever ago!
The talking heads on TV keep on talking about others in the military, like Hasan, who have too much stress! How can Hasan have suffered "stress"? He was not deployed--the people he murdered were deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan multiple times, to do the job they signed up for--it's an all volunteer military, and after 8 years in Afghanistan, and 7 in Iraq, it has failed as miserably as it had in 1975 propping up the corrupt South Vietnam government, while "Charlie" kept on hiding in Cambodia, just as the Taliban and al-Qaeda hide in Waziristan! And Pakistan, like Cambodia, will not tolerate U.S. soldiers on their soil, and I wonder what kind of "Killing Fields" will result there, as a result of our stupid involvement, by the very stupid people who twice elected the buffoon and moron "par excellence", who committed, among other misdemeanors, war crimes, under his damning 8 years in office!

Have you ever watched the Kurt Russell film "Executive Decision" (1994)?

In the star-studded, action-packed Kurt Russell film "Executive Decision" (1994) , there was a terrorist on an airliner called Nagi Hassan (played by David Suchet ) and he LOOKS EXACTLY like the US Army Major Nidal Malik Hassan , who shot and killed so many people on the Fort Hood, Texas Army base-- they both bear the SAME NAME, and both of them shouted "Allah Akbar!" ("God is great!" الله أكبر ) before opening fire in that crazy way terrorists have a way of doing, which is either coincidence or just some weird kind of "fate"! The moment I saw his face on CNN, I was IMMEDIATELY taken aback, and recalled Kurt Russell's fate when he whispered the name "Hassan"--this is the second time in two months that some Jordanian dude in Texas has been the target of law enforcement and the FBI, and I think that real-life is once again imitating fiction, just as with "The China Syndrome" (1979) with Jane Fonda, and the melt-down at Three Mile Island and Harrisburg, Pennsylvannia following so closely after the movie's release!

In my opinion, after Major Hassan was given a "poor" review at Walter Reed Army Hospital, and especially after he kept insisting that he not go to Iraq, the Army should have just given him a general discharge and call it a day, instead of allowing this guy, who they ALREADY were aware of being a bit nuts, doing what he did! This incident, as with the psycho murderer and rapist in Cleveland, Ohio, and the sex-offender in California, are similar with respect that authorities KNEW and had the opportunity to MONITOR these offenders, and dropped the ball! The government is incompetent, they claim they haven't enough parole officers, or that the dude in California is a "low level" offender, and these type of stories keep on showing up on CNN!

But you wouldn't know it if you watched the awful CNN Sunday morning programme "Reliable Sources" with Howard Kurtz, (photo, third from the top) who had this odious junior "Nancy Grace"-type clone, Lisa Bloom , (second from bottom) who is always ragging on something and somebody--this time, disparaging the American people for not wanting "news" and for giving so much attention to the "balloon boy" hoax! Quel outrage! We are viewers, hunting for news, yet THIS IS ALL CNN, the self-proclaimed "Most Trusted Name in News" has to offer--wall-to-wall crapola of endless, mindless, misinformed reporting, with even Wolf Blitzer taking the lead this time with fear-factor about a boy, who is believed to be IN THE BALLOON, and they SENSATIONALIZE this crap, which, it turns out, is a hoax or an attention-grabbing moron in Fort Collins, who also starred on some so-called "reality" hit show, and it is just this kind of B.S. like "The Octomom" or "Tot Mom" or "poor Michael Jackson", or listening to the rode-hard-and-put-away-wet looking wench LISA BLOOM, again, bashing Roman Polanski and the Hollywood power establishment who support letting by-gones be by-gones, and these really creepy looking old media hags, like Jane Velaz-Mitchell have gotta go now! I am so sick of them and all their "insights"--we need The Replacements, and I need to figure out what the phone number which Disney character Todd and Riley (bottom) call when they dial FLEEMCO and get a replacement for these boobs on TV and FAST! I want news. I wanna know about Iran, Afghanistan--and the balloon boy story, such a hoax, but no more that "the economy is improving" hoax, or the "Cash for Clunkers/Healthcare" hoax, the "Gulf of Tonkin" hoax, or any one of a number of REAL HOAXES, like 9/11, thrust upon us & the world, where political leaders tell us they "were under sniper fire" or "it's a republican, right-wing conspiracy" or that they "are NOT a crook" or they did not COOK the books, or that "America does NOT torture" anymore than the guy saying he "did NOT have sex with THAT woman"! The American media is a fraud, and we all would be much better without Kurtz and Bloom, Nancy Grace (Graceless Nancy, or Nancy sans grace) and the test-tube freak Anderson Cooper--why, "Flipper" is more relevant! What about that garbage island, two times the size of Texas, somewhere out in the Pacific? What about the TRUTH for a nice change? Yes, we really want to know! The American media does the entire world a great disservice, and CNN is "the leader of the Pack", Varoom, varoom! Vaminos, Paco! Hasta la vista, baby! If only it was possible to type Khmer characters and use the beautiful Khmer alphabet here on Google's wonderful blogger! That would be so cool! You see, I can easily and plainly type the wonderful Vietnamese letters, with all their beautiful and odd complexities on blogger with ease:

But I must space it all out, or the Arabic words run all together! And it gets kinda tricky with Chinese~~oh, I can type Chinese very easily on my blog! But the Chinese characters, which show up on this blogger by Google might only show up like little squares. For example, this little Chinese sentence " 我是個德國人！" might show up on another computer as "�����!"

And that's really something that no one can read. But there are plenty of things I could write in Khmer, which other Khmer-readers would be quite able to read, but the technology doesn't yet exist to make that happen. Oh, well!

Absurd wonks and damned fools!

I have refrained from writing anything here on my blog about the "taboo" subject called AFGHANISTAN, but today I watched a programme on C-Span (Go to: http://www.c-spanvideo.org/program/ID/214008 )with Professor Paul Pillar (Security Studies, Georgetown University) and he was splitting hairs over whether or not WE are fighting a counter-terrorism debacle or a counter-insurgency debacle, but WHATEVER it is WE are fighting, it is CLEAR TO THE ENTIRE WORLD, that WE are losing! He had the odious gall to say "President Obama needs to....." --Who the hell is THIS GUY on TV telling the world what President Obama needs to do? Pillar is NOT the President or any key policy-maker of noteworthy importance of any kind.

I was rather impressed with the comprehension of the problems in that sad nation displayed by Congresswoman Jane Harman (D-Ca), who has clearly been read-in on all aspects of US involvement in Afghanistan. She must have read everything in the English language on the subject, and she is very knowledgeable about the situation in which America now finds itself in the Muslim world. Nobody seems to acknowledge that America put itself in this sorry situation, and it will be America's undoing as long as people here keep on speaking about tolerable levels of collateral damage, or how our forces in the region do not amount to a Soviet-style occupation. (In my mind, it looks more like a Nazi-style occupation of Ukraine). Nevertheless, it is not very reassuring to hear from Michael O'Hanlon (Brookings Institution) saying that the Afghanistan people "don't hate us as much as the Iraqis" and that "we have a successful occupation" --the guy kept on sticking his size 12 shoe into his size 11 mouth! What an embarassment for so-called higher education!

No one on the U.S. Strategy in Afghanistan panel wanted to address the issue of opium poppy and heroin. And with the U.S. sustaining 8 dead in the past week, and another 5 today, this war looks so very much like the quagmire Viet-Nam was for the Americans in 1967--by escalating the number of troops, which McNamara insisted was necessary, only resulted in further losses of money, energy, men, materials, and the American reputation, which was in the most shameful way, in tatters by 30. April 1975.

Similarily, everyone is talking more and more about the FATA region on the border with Pakistan, and it would appear to be ironically the same kind of situation with American's involvement in South Viet-Nam spreading deeper and deeper into Cambodia. No one is speaking about the illegality of American military or American drones going into this sovereign nation, and the destabilization of Pakistan, not in anyone's interest, could be the net effect, just as it was with Cambodia--another country which was filled with opium poppy and a black market which brought in billions in hard cash to the Khmer Rouge, and the likes of men like Khun Sa in Burma.

Anyway, with such absurd wonks and damned fools discussing this mess, I have no confidence that WE will be out of Afghanistan soon or with a shred of dignity!

My response to this article is perhaps "too honest", and that makes it, necessarily, "radical", because IF YOU TALK HONESTLY ABOUT ANYTHING IN AMERICA, I think they put you on the NO-FLY list or secretly take you to GITMO in the middle of the night, like the cowardly GESTAPO used to in 1937, because they are too afraid to do ANYTHING in broad daylight where there is a possibility of the so-called "transparency" of which government mumble-heads on CNN and C-Span are always yapping!

John W. Schoen's article provides a very quick summation of the symptoms of a recession weary American economy but I feel he is off the mark on at least a couple of key points: He writes "As consumers have gotten cautious, so have businesses". I don't think that there is a question of consumers being cautious. These so-called "consumers" don't have jobs or money! And I read on CNN's ticker (but with no story coverage) that AIG's top dog got a $10.5 million "bonus"--this from the VERY company which received so much FREE money, with no strings attached, in a downturn economy with more than 20 million jobless "consumers". Certainly China makes up for a good portion of America's immediate income, but THEY ARE FLUSH WITH CASH: Mr, Bush, the rogue ex-President who bull-dozed his way through two fraudulent elections, financed his family's personal vendetta AND A PRIVATE Rumsfeld-Bush FAMILY FUED against the Saddam Hussein family with American tax-dollars (which should have been used here to build our infrastructure), hijacked the American military in a FRUITLESS search for Osama bin Laden (All the Federales say, they let "Pancho" get away again, this time at Tora Bora!) and borrowed trillions from China to finance that fiasco, along with the meatgrinder in Afghanistan, leaving China as "The foremost lender" to not just the third-world, but the leading lender in the market place, and they are STILL searching for any venue to park those dollars, so as to make more money! China is now sitting in a position the Communists of 1949 had never foreseen in their wildest dreams, that they would become "the lender of last recourse" for when all other central banks fold up, China would still be "in business". They won the "Monopoly Game" which begun at Bretton Woods, and was EXTENDED into "overtime" with the formation of the European Union and the advent of the Euro--US dollar denominated stocks, bonds and financial instruments are plummetting to something nearer and nearer to "worthless" (under 80 Japanese yen to the dollar!) when companies like Boeing RUN AWAY from AND FLEE potentially violent employee-protesters (WHICH THEY royally SCREWED IN A most MADOFF-esque manner), by first shifting their headquarters out of the Seattle-area, to Chicago (in September 2001!) , and then later, clear cutting billions of acres of Carolina forest, to build a new facility in a union-free "right to work" state where they will build their Nightmare Liner, in a just-completed 342,000-square-foot building on 240 acres of what a year ago was forest (next to the airport) FROM NEWLY AQUIRED (July 7) Vought Aircraft Industries (which also makes the Airbus A320 & A360 in a "workshare" project! ) AND which potentially requires the laying-off of all their Everett, WA employees, because they can't compete with EADS and Airbus--their product is not only ALWAYS late, but inferior, requiring "recall", and THE REASON WHY MOST American corporations export jobs abroad, is that "abroad" is away from the long arm of the law, or of OSHA, the FLRB, worker's compensation, FICA, Customs and Immigrations, the EPA and numerous other potential "problems" or litigants which make for "a messy business environment". "Abroad" is a place like The Cayman Islands, where KBR, through their subsidary, hired Americans to work in Afghanistan and Iraq, building air bases, because IF THEY HIRE employees "OVERSEAS" they don't have to offer them Social Security (FICA)! America is NOT WORKING! Very little is manufactured here, except obfuscations. Everyone knows that American presently exports nothing, save misery! America is now a "business-free ZONE" as well as a "No fly Zone"--go ask ANY COMMERCIAL airline CEO how many Americans are willing to pay TOP DOLLAR for INCREASED BAGGAGE and MORE ABUSE at the AIRPORT this holiday season! I lay all of this incompetent mismanagement and top-heavy, invasive government intrusion into OUR LIVES at the doorstep of the nincompoop in Crawford, and that side-kick of his who ALWAYS TALKED OUT OF THE SIDE OF HIS MOUTH!

As long as America employs methods used by the old Reichsbank of 1924 to pay off debt BY PRINTING MORE MONEY, the net result will be joblessness, homelessness, rampant crime and corruption, graft, and a spiralling decline in America societal structure, which give rise to fringe and wacko religious groups clamoring for power to "fill the vacuum", or the hole of 9/11, which is STILL there-- Bush couldn't fill it, Obama can't fill it, two illegal and fruitless wars in Iraq and Afghanistan can't fill it, regardless as to how many dead Americans get packed into the soft Arlington, Virginia soil.
